American & Interstate Signcrafters worked with D3LED, Callison RTKL, and brand design firm Gilmore Group to bring Union Square's Capital One Café to life.
AIS was responsible for designing and fabricating the custom ATM wall vestibule and the sunshade extending from the first floor to the second floor and exterior of the building. AIS also installed the complete package on site, including two fully customized LED elements, the ATM wall, and the custom LED mezzanine wall, ceiling, and sunshade.
Different modifications and modules were used throughout the project. For example, the faceted ceiling, which extends to the exterior, uses a custom-fabricated raceway configuration.
All fabrication was completed in house. The project was well engineered, but making sure everything designed on paper worked in the physical space required extensive coordination and constructive back-and-forth among the project teams.
